Do You Need to Wash Plastic Models? (Shinden Brush Painting Lesson, Part 3)

Good evening, everyone!

Worried About Painting Shinden? (Shinden Brush Painting Lesson, Part 1)

↑The 2nd run has finally started shipping! If you haven’t purchased Shinden yet, please click here. ♪

Good afternoon, everyone!
This is Developer T, feeling unpleasantly damp and sticky from the first heavy rain in a while! ><

Well then, it’s been a little while since I last posted, but the delay wasn’t from either summer heat fatigue or from not being able to move due to muscle pain after working Dolpa, okay? *laugh*

It was actually due to production on the Shinden Walkthrough Guidebook (tentative title), and getting this preparatory blog post ready as a precursor for the book! ( hey, is that really true?)

That being said, just like I stated in the previous Hometown Dolpa Osaka 6 report, while female fans of SWS are finally on the rise, it seems that there is a lingering awkwardness surrounding the question of, “I don’t know what I should do for the paint job,” so I would like to begin with this “Shinden 2nd Production Run Shipping Commemorative Brush Painting Lesson,” which I prepared as a precursor to the Shinden Walkthrough Guidebook!

Of course, I won’t be jumping straight to the painting, but would like to proceed in such a way that even those who are building Shinden as their first actual model can understand, so please have patience with me as we go along. ♪^^

Good evening, everyone!
This is Developer T, who thinks the first rain in a while is nice and refreshing, but is very irritated at how the humidity is clogging up his airbrush!

Now then, shipping for the 2nd Shinden production run has finally begun, with preference to pre-order buyers, in order of reservation!

Due to everyone’s passionate encouragement, we were somehow able to reach our production goal, a little over half a year since the first production run sold out. Truly, thank you all so very much!

Moving forward, we would like to continue developing superior products which answer the requests of our customers in a similar manner, so we ask for your continued support.

Now then, at the same time as the shipping of the 2nd Shinden run making SWS more and more exciting, a great new supporting role that will greatly deepen and widen the world of SWS is debuting!

Shinden Flight Set: Contents have been finalized, so we will begin accepting pre-orders on July 31!

Good morning, everyone! This is Developer T!

Today, we received our first piece of Shinden gossip in a while, so I’ll be telling it to you here.

What’s this, there was a walk-in of a completed Shinden model from a female customer! Amazing!

By Sakura Yui (pseudonym): It was fully painted using a paintbrush with Vallejo pigments! Amazing! Unsurprisingly, it looks great! *shock*

Shinden Mystery

Good evening, and nice to meet you. My name is Nezumitarou.
Under Developer T’s orders, I will now be participating in (the writing of) this blog.
I hope we get along well together from now on.
To everyone who has purchased our 1/32 scale Shinden, thank you very much!
I wonder if all of you have assembled (your kits) yet?
Of course, merely opening the box and staring at the parts trees with a huge grin is also rather satisfying, isn’t it?
The assembly manual also makes for some worthwhile reading.
Ah, so Shinden was actually like this!
I think that many such moments of discovery await you.
Likewise, the questions will also arise one after another.
In the end, there was only one Shinden aircraft ever completed, and it was never flown in actual combat, so all anyone can do is theorize about it.
Let us ponder the mysteries of such a Shinden.
This is one: Does Shinden’s engine cooling system really work?
